Breath-based cancer detection Owlstone Medical has won an award of £36m from ARPA (for Health). Their program aims to develop over-the-counter tests using only breath and urine samples for Stage I detection of over 30 solid tumours.

A step ahead of quantum attacks Sitehop raised an additional £7.5m led by Northern Gritstone to address the increasing scale and intensity of cyber attacks. Sitehop’s quantum-ready SAFEseries™ keeps networks protected before threats appear.

Global pest contamination Spotta, a multi-award winning provider for insect pest management has raised £3.4m led by The FSE Group. The funding will accelerate Spotta’s commercial expansion aiming to solve the global £320 billion global insect pest problem.

Autonomous drone inspections Sees has secured £3.7m in funding to expand its team and support the rollout of its aerial inspection technology. Sees, the first of its kind to secure Civil Aviation Authority, remotely inspects critical infrastructure such as power and railways.

A catalogue for software Dragonfly lands £2.6m in pre-seed led by Episode 1. The launch of their conversational AI tool looks to help users find the right tech stack by filtering over 250,000 software products.

Testing male fertility from home Jack Fertility announced a £500k in pre-seed funding, led by Fuel Ventures, to accelerate the launch of its first product. Snip Check™, a home-to-lab semen analysis kit, delivers clinic-grade results straight to customers' doors.
