Made a splash

Monetising AI agents Paid’s oversubscribed £16m seed round from Lightspeed will provide the economic rails for AI agents. The firm is building the payment and billing infrastructure for operators to track costs and set margins.

Tackling the cause of blood cancer Athernal Bio announced their official launch with £3.5m in funding from Delin Ventures. The company is developing targeted immunotherapies for the major driver of blood cancer risk.

Beating job app fraud Willo lands £3m from the founder of Mimecast to tackle AI-generated job applications. The funding will help develop new features across the recruitment tech platform and support expansion into North America.

The AI weight loss app Simple lands £26m with backing from Kevin Hart’s venture fund and Liquidity private credit. The funds will be used to expand its AI health coach “Avo” with new features and to new markets.

Looking through the clouds Aspia Space is leveraging AI technologies to provide organisations with a consistent, reliable stream of land intelligence. The “Earth Observation Company” has secured £2.3m in funding.
